1 Neglect of cooperation with PCB manufacturers

It is a common misconception that many engineers think that it is enough to provide design files to the manufacturer before manufacturing begins. In fact, it is best to share it with the manufacturer when designing the first draft of the PCB layout. They will review the PCB design based on their rich manufacturing experience, and find problems that you can’t find, so as to ensure the manufacturability of the design.

2 too close to the edge

Components should not be too close to the edge of the circuit board, and an appropriate distance needs to be kept, otherwise the components are easily broken due to being too close to the edge. And this problem, experienced manufacturers can often find out when they get the design files, and ask engineers to make modifications, such as routing around the edge to solve hidden dangers.

3 Ignore the verification of PCB layout design

When you spend a lot of time and effort to complete the PCB design, but you can’t wait to get into production, then you are doing it wrong. The verification of PCB design must not be ignored, otherwise it will bring a lot of trouble. Imagine waiting until the PCB production has started to find out the problem, it will waste a lot of time and bring greater economic losses. If the circuit board has enough space to accommodate larger components, large-size components should be selected, which is more in line with the manufacturability of the product.
